I bought some fresh apple cider about a week before Halloween, but about half the gallon is still in my refrigerator. It’s gotten all fizzy and carbonated, and tasted fermented. Does this mean it is now hard apple cider? And is it safe to drink?
I was going to make some hard-apple cider for halloween. i couln’t find any apple cider, so i was wondering if it would be good to just throw in some apple juice, apples, cinnamen and maybe some cloves and just let it boil for a while? then maybe i could throw in some spiced rum…. does that sound like it would work?

We have 2 apple trees, Granny Smith and Fuji. One very tart the other very sweet. Bumper crop, more than we can eat. How can you make hard apple cider or apple jack using fresh picked apples?
