When you buy apple cider at an orchard farmstand, you can expect it to be different than plain ol’ apple juice. Of course sometimes apple cider refers to apple juice that has been aged or fermented. My question is this: In a grocery-store setting, is there any difference at all between apple juice and apple cider? If so, what would it be? They taste the same as far as I can tell.

I would like to buy some organic apple cider vinegar, but I don’t want to order it off of some web site. Does the average grocery store carry the organic stuff?

When I go to the grocery store, I saw a bottle of apple cider and a bottle of apple juice. I bought them, and they tasted exactly the same. Am I missing something?
