I’ve been using apple cider vinegar(5% acidity) and mixed with with water, a 50-50 mixture, and rinsing my hair with it every morning before school. Today after rinsing I noticed a strong vinegar smell(which smells really bad). My hair usually dries once i get to school. My question is does the smell of vinegar disappear when it dries or does it leave a smell even after it dries?

It will fade when your hair is dry but if it becomes damp again, it will come back. The proportion for a hair rinse is actually about a tablespoon to a full glass of water. Then rinse very quickly once afterwards with plain water. The 50/50 mixture is too strong for your hair and will damage it.

It won’t disappear entirely. Try using white vinegar instead, which may still smell like vinegar, but much less so.
